Our Story
1964, The Idea
We began collecting and processing recycled metals under the name METALSIDER in San Martino in Rio (Reggio Emilia).
The 1980s, The first growth
During the 1980s, production was around 3,000 tonnes of zinc per year.
The 1990s: Productivity doubles
Starting in the 1990s, production capacity doubled, reaching approximately 6,000/7,000 tonnes of zinc per year in 2010.
2003, Metalsider2
A new beginning for the company: in 2003, the company name changed to METALSIDER2.
2006, Transfer to Modena
After more than 40 years, we decided to move house and relocated to Modena.
2011, Steady growth
Since 2011, the company's production has grown steadily every year.
2018, Leader
We are recognised as one of the leading producers of secondary zinc.
2020, The boom
In 2020, production growth reached 30,000 tonnes/year.
